The lights will be on tonight after being off the past 4 days due to rain and snow. I have rebuilt the shows that I accidentally deleted from the computer. Hope everyone enjoys the lights. Lights will be back on at 5:30 tonight.

The rain and snow has stopped. The lights will be on later tonight. I made the mistake of deleting the folder containing all the sequences on the computer. I had a back up for most of them, but some I had made adjustments to and now have to go back and make all the changes. Now to just get everything sequenced back in place.
The lights are off again tonight due to the rain. Once the rain clears out, the lights will be back on.
Due to all the rain coming in, I have decided not to light the display tonight. I will try to update the blog over the next few days, as rain is predicted along with snow starting tomorrow night, if the light display will be on.
The lights are on and will run nightly beginning at 5:30 weather permitting. I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and a great holiday season.
Almost everything has been completed. All that is left is the strobes and the lighted gift boxes, and they will go out Friday. But the lights come one tomorrow night. Its a new song line up, with a couple of remakes from last year. But, I've learned one thing. I'll start in October putting the display up. I have worked for over two weeks getting everything in place. There is over 6, 500 feet of extension cords this year. The neighbors are all excited and can't wait for the lights to come on, but all the work put into it is worth it knowing people enjoy it. I hope every one has a great Thanksgiving, and be safe while out shopping on Friday.
The display is almost complete. After working until late Saturday night, we ran out of extension cord wire. That was an extra 2000 feet that I had ordered to cover what I thought would be able to connect everything. So I have another 2000 feet scheduled to be delivered on 11/22 so that everything can be completed on Wednesday 11/23. I'll do a test run Wednesday night to make sure everything is working properly and do any minor adjustments to the programming that may be needed. The display this year will consist of over 6,000 feet of extension cords. The lights come on November 24th.
The display is going up and is half way complete. The roof is complete. Still a lot of work to be done in two days, as rain is moving back in on Sunday and the display has to be completed tomorrow, Saturday November 19th for a test run to make sure everything is working correctly. There will be a lot of new songs added this year and some redesigned ones from last year. I've made some last minute changes as I decided to add some things to the display. Lights come on in 6 days, November 24th at 5:30 p.m.
Two weeks until the lights come on. Everything outside will start going up this weekend and all next week.
The programming is all but finished. There will be eight new songs added to the lineup this year. Still deciding if I want to do different songs on different nights, but I'll have that decision made before the 24th. There will be over 13,500 lights in the display this year, a big increase from last year, and 96 channels of computerized animation. The week of November 14th, things will start going up.

AuthorI have always loved the Christmas holidays. Now I'm taking it a little further, now that I have learned how to make lights dance to the music. Archives
